Average salary increased by 1,8%
Average net salary reached MKD 20,424 in July 2010, which is a drop of MKD 374 compared to the previous month. The decrease in average monthly salary was recorded by the following sectors: transport, storage and communications, hotels and restaurants and ore mining.
According to the Macedonian State Statistical Office, in July, the average net salary increased by 1.8 percent y/y. The increase is a result of the growth of average monthly net salary in the following sectors: retail and wholesale trade, repair of vehicles and personal use products, education and processing industry.
According to the Macedonian State Statistical Office, in August, the cost of living, which is an indicator for the inflation increased by 1,9% annually.
At the same time retail prices grew by 2.5 percent compared with August 2009.
